The automatic planter is a 3d printable, injection-moldable, or millable planter that waters, lights, and monitors a house plant in the basin. It is equipped with sensor inputs and pumps, and is controlled through either buttons or through a smartphone, via Bluetooth or WiFi on a custom-designed circuit board. It is designed to allow for a quick an easy experience growing a simple houseplant, and features varying degrees of automation to assist in this purpose. This project was created for Mechanical Engineering Design V (ME360) course in the University of New Mexico Mechanical Engineering program.
